Life, and how it confuses me

Life confuses me. There are too many choices to make for everything, sometimes you wish you made a different one. It also confuses me that if you done one thing differently, even something as small as woken up 5 minutes later last Thursday your whole life could be different.

This kind of looking back at life might be considered a “What If...?” situation. People tell me these situations have no point because you cannot change the past but I think differently. Yes, you cannot change the past but by looking back and seeing how you did something and how it affected your life it can help you make better (or sometimes worse) decisions in the future.

Other people just don’t really care and are perfectly happy to “go with the flow”, so to speak. Sometimes it’s better to be like this, because if you think too much about things in the past and how you wish you hadn’t said something to that guy or how you wish you had just gone and done what you were asked instead of procrastinating.

But as I have said before, it can help if you look back at these “What If...?” situations because it can help you be better prepared for life. Besides, can you honestly say that you have never regretted a decision or looked back and thought how things would be if you hadn’t done something?

Another confusing thing about life is the fact that the world is full of some stupid people. I’m not exactly the smartest person around and I at the best of times I don’t really think logically, but I know I'm better than a few people out there.

One example is religion. Ok, so religion isn’t a person but it’s still stupid. Recently I have been thinking about Christianity and how the bible details the 10 commandments. Now I agree with the ones I can remember, such as don’t kill, steal, commit adultery etc. But they have got me wondering; if there is a god, and he has the ability to create whole planets and the people who inhabit it, surely he can take some time to make everyone “perfect”. That would be a logical thing to do. It would have saved the old guy some time trying to find someone to give these commandments to. Of course, if I remember Moses did break the tablets so it was kind of a lost cause really. Except Moses and Jesus and all those people were all just fictional characters. That’s my view people, if you don’t like it then you are going to have to accept that people have mixed opinions.

I’m not going to rant on about religion tonight; I’m going to save that for some other time when I can think better.
